The MERC provides world class emergency rescue training and skill building opportunities for volunteer mines rescue teams and 2023 marks it’s twelfth year!
The role of our sponsors can not be underestimated in the success of the MERC and we acknowledge and thank our network of sponsors for your ongoing support.

Key Dates
Step One – Marketing Assets – 4 August 2023
This section is all about activating your sponsorship via the MERC website and social channels.
We have an online form for you to check your logo and the link to your website, to make sure we’ve acknowledged your sponsorship and brand correctly.
Please note, your logo will be used on other mediums, e.g. program, flip book, etc.
If you’re a Platinum or Gold sponsor, we also ask you to provide us with some approved content for the MERC socials, a video or a photo, with some text! Help us to get your name out there!

Step Three – Merchandise
- Each sponsor is eligible to order a complimentary short sleeved polo shirt plus a either a wide brimmed hat or cap, according to your sponsorship level. Please see the table below for your entitlements and sponsor code.
- Visit the Eventbrite link to order your merchandise.
- View the online order instructions here.
- Polo shirts are available in ladies, mens and childrens sizes, further sizing information can be found by clicking the links.
- Additional polo shirts, including a long sleeved polo shirt can be purchased ($35 each), by credit card via the link.
- You can opt for either a wide brimmed hat or a cap. Additional hats are not available for purchase.

Step Five – Event Tickets
- Each sponsor is entitled to a number of complimentary tickets to the Welcome Sundowner and Awards Ceremony, according to your sponsorship level. Please see the table below for your entitlements and sponsor code.

- All event tickets must be booked online via the link.
- Limited additional tickets are available to purchase to attend the Awards Ceremony, for $190 per person.
- If you haven’t provided details of your guests attending the Awards Ceremony please complete and retuning this excel template to Suz George via sponsors@themerc.com.au.
