Bringing Mines Rescue to the City

MERC is a not-for-profit event that provides world class emergency rescue training and skill building opportunities for volunteer mines rescue teams. 2025 marked the 15th year since the first MERC was hosted and was held in the spectacular city of Perth, Australia.

The metropolitan location provides Perth based industry representatives, FIFO workers, mining families and the local community to view firsthand, the skills of the mining emergency response teams who help to ensure safe workplaces and communities in the event of emergency.
